Museum of the Meiji Restoration. Most exhibits had little English description. But two shows with English/Chinese translation using headphones helped a lot.

Convenient subway to hotel. Hotel is very near to subway station.

福岡城跡＋大濠公園，smaller than expected, but quiet and convenient

Day 1, bus departed at 8am at Sheung Shui
1130 slipped and hurt, lunch @$12 each
1230 taxi, one was a shark, charged $20 while 2 others 7.5
1300 checked in
1450 done shopping at supermarket. Big supermarket in a big mall, but couldn't find slices of bread.
1600 start cooking with the kids, and we ate dinner

Day 2
Cha Shan Park, outdoor activities
PM: classes. I taught the story of Noah. I found it hard to keep children's attention and discipline.
Evening, protect an egg and let it fall from the first floor.

Day 3
Kid-parent activities. I acted as a parent because some parents could not attend. I was blindfolded and let a kid take me by the hand and walked through some obstacles.

2017 South Taiwan day 6

美濃客家民俗村, mainly for selling souvenirs. I bought a fan, a small broom.

旗山老街，old market like 石湖墟。

旗山公園， looking down on the old town, and a Confucius temple at the top.

Roasted duck meal at 仁武，good value for money.

Shopping mall at 大魯閣草衙道。

2017 South Taiwan day 5

Sunday service at a bilingual Church. The pastor led the worship, played the guitar, preached the sermon.  Only 4 sisters sang with him, one of them did the translation.  There were two sessions of service and we attended the first. After it ended, nearly everyone left immediately to make room for the second session.  The worship and sermon were very touching though.

Pier 2 art center in the afternoon. Very interesting even though I am not fond of arts.

We had a very long drive to Taitung

The road was long and winding. We must find some rest points on the way back!

We had a stroll in the night market. There was a heavy shower and we just made it to the car soon enough.

2017 South Taiwan day 2

Snorkeling, but couldn't master it. Also took a stroll in Hengchuan old city. Caught cold and slept 9 hours.

2017 South Taiwan day 1

Yims were very late to the airport, needed special escort by a crew member. Door closed immediately after Salla embarked.

The airport facilities were disappointing, cool air from HAS failed. Take off was delayed and it was extremely hot in the plane.

Took quite some time to pick up the wi-fi egg and cars.

First stop was 國立海生博物館，admission too expensive and we decided to skip this one.

Second stop was seafood lunch at 紅柴坑，good value for money.

Third stop was 白砂海灘，finally 貓鼻頭。

Checked in at the hotel at around 4pm, very hot and exhausted. Parking space was crammed, crazy! It was impossible to park without someone watching outside.

Dinner at 墾丁大街，掃街。

OTS car rental, many customers and staff.

Diamond guesthouse, just landlord sharing his house.  GPS stopped near the location, up to you to find the guesthouse!  Fortunately, we went to a neighboring hotel to find help.
